Provisional Entry Program
The Provisional Entry Program is designed for a select population of academically
superior students coming out of high school with an interest in pursuing pharmacy
as a career. PEP will provide these students the opportunity to develop both personal
and professional relationships with the College of Pharmacy faculty and students when
they enter ULM. This program will be unique to ULM and will bring up to 50 high-achieving
students to ULM each year for their pre-professional program in pharmacy.
Must be postmarked by July 31, 2021
Advantages
- The primary advantage of the Provisional Entry Program (PEP) is that students avoid
the competitive selection process for admissions into the professional pharmacy program,
which traditionally occurs following completion of three academic years of required
pre-professional classes, if requirements are met.
- The Provisional Entry Program provides students with opportunities to engage in both
professional and personal relationships with College of Pharmacy faculty and upperclassmen
immediately upon entering ULM instead of waiting to complete the traditional three-year
pre-professional program.
- Students in the Provisional Entry Program may participate in professional student
organizations and leadership development programs earlier in their collegiate careers.
- PEP students will be invited to COP events
