The Legacy Continues - A Journey Through the Decades

Homecoming 2021  |  October 18 - 23, 2021

Homecoming week is one of the most important times of the year at ULM with many exciting events being held by different organizations. Alumni come back to campus to enjoy the many festivities including the university mile race, homecoming parade, the election of the Homecoming Queen and King, brunches and banquets, reunions, pep rallies, tailgating, and the homecoming football game.

Historical fact: The first homecoming queen in the fall of 1932 was Coach Jim Malone’s sweetheart, Marjorie, who later married Coach Malone and who was elected by the Indian football team even though she was a student at LSU in Baton Rouge. This was the team’s way to honor their beloved coach.
