Did You Know? Safe Links Are Safe

dykguy

Hello Warhawk family!  Have you ever received an email with an extra-long URL link that contains the word “SafeLinks”?  If you see “safelinks.protection.outlook.com” in the URL, this signifies that the link has been checked by Office 365’s Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) and the link should be safe to open.  AS ALWAYS, you should never click on an unexpected email or link that you do not recognize.  If you are unsure, you should report suspicious email to spam@ulm.edu and someone will check it for you.  It is better to be safe than sorry!
This is one more way the Office of Information Technology is working to make your environment a safer and more efficient place.  If you have any questions concerning safelinks, please feel free to email us at oit@ulm.edu.
