Kayla Thibodaux

Kayla Thibodeaux

Kayla Thibodaux is a Class of 2022 Dual PharmD/MBA candidate at the ULM College of Pharmacy and is the current president of the Pharmacy Student Council. Originally from Houma, LA, Kayla attended college at Nicholls State University before making her way to Monroe to pursue her pharmacy degree.

As a pharmacy student, Kayla has been involved in numerous clubs and organizations including: Pharmacy Council, President; APhA-ASP, Vice President of Communications; Phi Lambda Sigma, Treasurer; Pharmacy Alumni Liaison students (PALs), RxStaff, Kappa Epsilon and LSHP, member. When she isn’t studying or involved in organization or club events, she also works as a pharmacy intern at CVS Pharmacy #5521. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and animals, being outdoors and reading a good book.

Kayla says she has a particular interest in academia, business administration and clinical pharmacy and she hopes to pursue a residency after graduation to help enhance her training and advance her clinical knowledge even more.

When asked what advice she has for anyone looking to a career in pharmacy Kayla said, “Do what makes YOU happy! There are so many career paths in pharmacy to choose from!” She also believes that ULM is a great choice for pharmacy school, saying, “ULM’s College of Pharmacy is a family, or as we call it, a pharmily. Being a part of this program gives me a sense of belonging and an amazing support system that makes the tough times better!”
