options are Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology and Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy,

The University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) and Louisiana State University Alexandria (LSUA) signed a memorandum of understanding at a press conference on May 21, 2026. The agreement provides pathways for students graduating from LSUA to enter graduate programs at ULM, including Pharmacy, Criminal Justice, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Strategic Communications.
Dr. Huy M. Dao, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Louisiana Monroe, has received a $380,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to improve how protein-based medicines -- such as vaccines and biologics -- survive freezing and thawing.
