The Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology (BSRT) online offering is an opportunity for ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologists to pursue the baccalaureate degree through the Registered Technologist Education Plan (RTEP). Technologists registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) may be awarded fifty-four semester hours of credit for their certification. The total number of hours for the degree is 125.
Students must meet specific admission requirements to be accepted into the BSRT online degree program. These requirements include:
- Students must complete general admission requirements of the University prior to RTEP acceptance.
- Students must submit a completed RTEP Application Packet to include the following:
- RTEP Application
- RTEP Application Checklist
- Students must have a cumulative uncorrected GPA of at least 2.5.
- Official transcripts from all higher education institutions
- Proof of ARRT Registration Status
- Official transcripts from all higher education institutions
- Proof of ARRT Registration Status
Due to utilization of objective criteria in processing applications, attainment of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission into the program. Students in the program must complete specific courses in General Education and Radiologic Technology according to a planned and structured program of study. This structured sequence is intended to facilitate success in the overall degree requirements.
The University of Louisiana at Monroe grants credit for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists towards the BS degree in Radiologic Technology. Students must take at least 32 hours through ULM to receive the baccalaureate degree. Any course taken at ULM counts towards the 32 hour minimum, and additional General Education and Radiologic Technology courses are available to enable students to meet this requirement.
