The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction - Early Childhood Education is offered as a totally online route to earning an advanced degree in education.

Admission Requirements

Applicants for the programs must meet the following requirements for admission to graduate school:

1. Must be a certified teacher.

2. Have an overall grade point average of at least 2.5 on all undergraduate work (2.2) for conditional acceptance.

3. Attain a formula score of at least 1875 using the following formula: the combined total of the Verbal and Quantitative scores on the Graduate Record Examination multiplied by the student’s grade point average on all undergraduate work pursued. Provisional admission may be allowed pending receipt of GRE scores.

Program Description

Candidates, with guidance from an advisor, progress through their chosen program in a sequenced manner that allows for completion within 18 months. In order to continue in the program, candidates must earn a “B” or better in coursework with only one “C” allowable. Masters degree candidates are required to subscribe to TaskStream in order to document their progression through the program requirements. All programs culminate in a supervised site-based practicum that focuses upon demonstrated competencies in the chosen field.
