April 22, 2002 The event is sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies and Research, Graduate Council, Research Council, and the Office of Academic Affairs. There will be over 150 ULM graduate and undergraduate students participating in poster and platform presentations. The students will present their research and research evaluations through these mediums. Platform presentations are scheduled to take place from 12:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in the smaller conference rooms on the West Side of the Conference Center on the 7th Floor. Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Walter Creekmore,
says, "The University of Louisiana at Monroe is proud to
provide a platform for scholarly research and learning through
the sponsorship of the Second Annual Student Research Symposium.
These students have chosen to take the high road as they are
contributing to the body of knowledge and not just talking from
it. This effort sets the stage for their scholarly pursuits,
which will have real-life applications. They are to be applauded
and respected for their effort and dedication to the academy." -ulm-
