Tickets on Sale for ULM's Latest Stage Drama

Tickets for the TheatreWorksULM production of PROOF, the Pulitzer Prize winning drama by David Auburn, go on sale Monday, February 16th. Performances are scheduled for Thursday through Saturday evenings Feb. 19th -21st and again the 26th -28th. For reservations call the theatre box office at 318-342-1414.

PROOF is a thought-provoking drama, with elements of both comedy and mystery. On the eve of her 25th birthday, Catherine considers her past. She has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister Claire; and the attentions of Hal, a former student of her father's who hopes to find valuable work in the notes her father left behind. Over the long weekend that follows, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into an uncomfortable consideration: How much of her father's madness ­ or genius ­ will she inherit?

General Admission tickets are $8, senior citizens $6, ULM students, faculty, and staff free. The play is not recommended for children due to strong language.
