ULM to Host "Governor's Regional Health Care Summit"
The University of Louisiana at Monroe will play a role in the state's health care Summit to be held March 3rd and 4th in New Orleans. For their part, ULM will host the "Governor's Regional Health Care Summit" to determine the health care needs of those in northeast Louisiana.
ULM's public meeting will be held on Feb. 18th from 1 5 p.m. in the Conference Center on the 7th floor of the ULM Library.
Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco has asked that all parishes in the Department of Health and Hospitals Administrative Region 8 have a voice in these state wide pre-summit meetings. All interested in health care from Union, Lincoln, Jackson, Caldwell, Franklin, Tensas, Madison, Richland, Ouachita, Morehouse, and East and West Carroll Parishes are invited to attend.
Blanco has also asked that specific healthcare concerns be addressed and submitted to her in a report after the ULM meeting.
