Oct. 2, 2002 The Chautauqua Nexus at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will meet Friday, October 4 at 4:30 p.m. on the sixth floor of the ULM Library. Featured speaker, Robert Eisenstadt, ULM Assistant Professor of Economics, will be leading a discussion on the State of Monroe. The State of Monroe, modeled after the State of the Union concept, is a chance for people who work or live in Monroe to get together and talk about where the city has come in a year. These weekly meetings are informal conversations attempting to connect people of all ages who are interested in intellectual and cultural exchanges. The Chautauqua Nexus usually meets once a week. Everyone is invited. To be on the Chautauqua Nexus e-mail list or for a look at the fall 2002 Chautauqua Nexus Schedule go to http://www.ulm.edu/~stevens/nexus/.
