ULM AVIATION STUDENT AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP

University of Louisiana at Monroe aviation student David Vanicor of Church Point has been awarded the $1,000 American Association of Airport Executives Foundation Scholarship for 2002.

The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is the largest professional organization for airport executives in the world representing thousands of airport management personnel at public use airports. The Aviation Department at ULM has the only student chapter of AAAE in Louisiana and is one of only eleven in the nation.

AAAE's primary goal is to assist airport executives to better perform their responsibilities to the airports and communities they serve. The AAAE Foundation was formed to support the educational endeavors of students in aviation and airport management. Recipients are selected by Career Opportunities Through Education, Inc. (COTE), a national non-profit scholarship service organization. Selections are based on scholastic achievement, financial need and extracurricular and community activities of the student.
