Spring Nexus discussions conclude with ancient Egyptian beer and other diverse topics


The educational and cultural Chautauqua Nexus series will conclude its spring semester roster with several scheduled discussions.

On Thursday, April 19, Monica Bontty will lead a Nexus entitled “Ancient Egyptian Beer and Beer Brewing.”

Keith Skinner will offer a Nexus Monday, April 23, entitled “The Future of Wastewater Treatment Using Natural Methods.”

Gene Eller will present the last Nexus of the spring semester, entitled “Guttermonks (a documentary)” Thursday, April 26.

All Chautauqua Nexus events are scheduled at 7:15 p.m. in room 134 of the Airway Science Building (at the corner of Northeast Avenue & Filhiol Street).

Nexus presentations are free, informal and open to the public. Everyone is invited to attend. ULM FRYS students are encouraged to attend and sign in.

“The Nexus is an opportunity for intellectual and cultural exchange,” said Joe McGahan, ULM psychology professor and Chautauqua Nexus organizer.
