Senior Amy Parsons of Jena, a risk management and insurance major at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, recently won the Spencer Award, a national insurance scholarship.

The Spencer Award, valued at $5,000, is awarded to risk management and insurance majors across the country for 2007–2008.
