Biology department spring seminar series examines insect outbreaks and intelligent design April 25

The ULM Department of Biology has two scheduled educational seminars remaining during the spring 2008 semester, with the next set for Friday, April 25. All seminars will occur at 1 p.m. in the Chemistry and Natural Science Building, room 101.

Derek Johnson of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will give the April 25th presentation titled "Seeing the forest for the trees: large scale patterns and processes in insect outbreaks."

On Friday, May 2, Barbara Forrest of Southeastern Louisiana University will speak about "What is intelligent design? Why should you care?"
