Musical delights await audience members Wednesday, April 22, as the University of Louisiana at Monroe Trombone Ensemble and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble begin their performance at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.

Assistant Professor of Music Micah Everett, D.M.A., will conduct.

The ULM Trombone Ensemble will play a transcription of a piece from “The Creation” by Franz Josef Haydn: “Achieved is the Glorious Work,” arranged by Donald Miller.

Miler’s arrangement of “Adoramus Te, Christe” by Ottorino Gasparini is also on the program, along with “The Great Lakes Octet” by Eric Ewazen.

The ULM Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble will play a transcription from “The Planets” by Gustav Holst, titled “Mars: The Bringer of War,” which is arranged by David Butler. They will also perform “Ricercar del Primo Tuono” by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina by way of Tim Olt’s arrangement, and “Dances,” and “Power” by John Stevens.

The Combined Ensembles will play “Rolling Thunder” by Henry Fillmore, by way of Everett’s arrangement.
