“Bayou Cleansweep” litter campaign scheduled
for April 17

A Bayou Cleansweep litter pick-up campaign is planned for 8 a.m., Saturday, April 17, on Bayou DeSiard.

Boats, paddles, life vests, gloves, vests, trash bags and everything volunteers need to assist with the Cleansweep will be provided. The starting point and check-in is at the Bait Shack next to Cypress Inn, where volunteers will be assigned to a boat or a shoreline cleanup team.

The cleanup campaign extends from the University Alumni Center to Cypress Inn. Danny Massey with Delta Disposal is leading the effort.

Students and others interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact Massey for additional information at 318-343-4628 or 318-537-2325.
