Caverlee will read from his recently published book “Amid the Swirling Ghosts,” a collection of literary essays and feature stories from throughout his life. The topics range from William Faulkner and Flannery O’Connor to “Pistol” Pete Maravich and Bonnie and Clyde, with many more subjects in between. Caverlee’s writings have appeared in several publications including “The Christian Science Monitor,” “The Cimarron Review” and “Louisiana Literature.” He’s also a contributing writer to “The Oxford American.” For more information about the event, contact Dr. Jack Heflin at 318-342-1521 or heflin@ulm.edu.
