ULM Criminal Justice Professor Publishes Thai Government Report

University of Louisiana at Monroe Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Dr. Attapol Kuanliang recently published "The Return on Investment on Budget Management on Drug Policy" with the help of Thailand colleagues.

The government report presents the return on investment for the 2007-2008 Thai drug policies.

It also offers guidelines for the development and improvement of budget management on drug policy

Qualitative and quantitative data were collected from across Thailand.

The Office of the Narcotics Control Board, Ministry of Justice and Kingdom of Thailand provided funding.

Kuanliang is currently researching harm reduction approaches to drug abuse intervention and policies regarding potential decriminalization and legalization of current illegal substances within Thailand.
