ULM Summer Commencement

The University of Louisiana at Monroe will host its 2005 Summer Commencement Ceremony on August 13 at 2 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

This year's keynote speaker will be Dr. Ruth E. Smith, professor of Spanish and head of the department of foreign languages at ULM.
During her thirty years at ULM Smith has established herself as an exemplary teacher, receiving multiple teaching awards from Omicron Delta Kappa, Alpha Lambda Delta, and the College of Liberal Arts. Smith received her bachelor of arts from Central State University Edmond, Okla., and her master's and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma.
