"48 Days To The Work You Love" continuing education course offered at ULM; begins Sept. 8

Individuals wishing to empower themselves and experience a positive job search need look no further. Edna Haden, a financial coach with Strategic Advisors Inc. in Monroe, invites interested people to sign up for her continuing education class at ULM titled, "48 Days To The Work You Love."

Classes begin Monday, Sept. 8; the registration deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 3. The class will meet for six weeks on Monday evenings from 6 - 8 p.m. at ULM’s Hanna Hall, room 322.

The students will focus on looking inward, identifying their skills and abilities, personality traits, values, dreams and passions. Focus then turns to the nuts and bolts of the job search. Haden will teach goal setting and how to create a resume, creatively search for a job, prepare for the interview, and negotiate salary.

The class should benefit college students, those already employed who are seeking a new direction, individuals facing a job change or layoff, and retirees who would like to try something new.

The registration fee includes an autographed hardback copy of Dan Miller's "48 Days To The Work You Love," the related workbook, a computerized career profile, and a “Rudder of the Day” daily devotional book. To register, go to www.ce.ulm.edu or phone (318) 342-1030.
