The award included a $100 contribution to the chapter, according to ULM’s Melissa Melancon, a convention voting delegate and chapter treasurer. A new slate of regional vice presidents and national officers were also elected at the convention, which included training for officers and presented new corporate sponsors offering discounts to honor society members.

Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines.
