A state approved activity course Sponsored by the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Gerontology Education will be offered beginning Jan. 8 in Monroe.

This course meets the requirements of the states of Louisiana and Mississippi and upon completion of the class, individuals will be qualified to work as an activity director in a nursing home, adult day care, retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.
