Twenty-five middle-school educators from Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Madison, Morehouse, Richland, Tensas and West Carroll parishes will receive training in the use of a portable planetarium called Starlab at the Starlab Training Workshop Feb. 11-12 at Start Elementary School. The workshop is sponsored by the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

The Starlab portable planetarium allows educators to teach astronomy and other subjects during school hours when the stars are not visible.

Times for the workshop are 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 and 8:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 12.
