ULM Art Alumni Invitational Exhibition Features Alumni From Around the Country
A reception honoring alumni artists from across the nation and recognizing ULM's 75th anniversary was held Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. in Bry Art Gallery at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
The reception celebrates the Art Alumni Invitational Exhibition, which will continue to showcase alumni artists through Feb. 9.
ULM art faculty members invited graduates to participate in the exhibition and 14 graduates, whose graduation dates range from 1969 through 2005, accepted the honor.
On display in the newly renovated gallery are 66 individual art objects encompassing the disciplines of ceramics, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. These works explore figurative, landscape, portrait, and non-objective images, dealing with multiple techniques and concepts as well as mixed media applications.

- Linda Thomas Ward of Monroe
- Edmund Williamson of West Monroe
- Jerry Wilson of Eros.
The Division of Art plans to present alumni exhibitions in the Bry Art Gallery every three years.
The gallery is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday when the university is in session.
