Do you want to make an investment in Louisiana’s future? Become a certified teacher.

There will be an Information Session for the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s TeachNortheast program on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. in Strauss Hall, Room 148.

Louisiana’s students need more high quality teachers to ensure that they learn. People now have an opportunity to make a difference. ULM’s TeachNortheast program challenges motivated individuals from all backgrounds to make an investment in Louisiana’s future by becoming a teacher and raising student achievement. Through TeachNortheast, individuals can teach in their own classrooms while earning a teaching certification.

The TeachNortheast program offers training and support. Tuition assistance is available for candidates teaching in high need districts and high need fields. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact in northeast Louisiana by teaching.

Applicants must have a college degree and a 2.5 undergraduate GPA to apply. Applications for the TeachNortheast program is will be accepted through April 7.
