“I wish mom and dad were here. They loved this university. We’re just happy to be here representing them,” Cummins said.
The Hall of Distinction recognizes those who have honored ULM through a lifetime of distinction or exemplary service to the university. Kitty DeGree was the inaugural winner of the ULM Hall of Distinction award in 2005.
The Wall of Honor includes both the Kitty DeGree Bell Tower Society display and the ULM Hall of Distinction display.
ULM recognizes its special alumni and friends as members of the Kitty DeGree Bell Tower Society, named in honor of ULM’s most generous donor, philanthropist and civic leader Kitty DeGree.
Traditionally, ULM hosts an annual event to honor University Associates. This includes donors who support the university annually with gifts of $1,000 and more. In honor of ULM’s 75th Anniversary, ULM has expanded this event to include all donors who have cumulatively donated $50,000 or more.
