Mark Clark, a ULM associate professor of music, published his new research book entitled “Guide to the Aria Repertoire”
February 16.

According to Amazon.com’s editorial reviews, the book is “a long-awaited resource for the young operatic singer.” The book is a 400-piece catalog that contains templates for both contemporary and obscure opera pieces.

“Guide to the Aria Repertoire” showcases advice and teaching techniques from prominent opera singers, coaches and directors, including Warren Jones, Carol Vaness and Sherrill Milnes. The book extends background information and detailed descriptions of the arias, considered of potential use to students studying lesser-known ones.
