Bar & Grill

ULM President James Cofer, former Governor Kathleen Blanco, Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo and other supporters gathered at Fieldhouse Bar & Grill Feb. 20, in celebration of the restaurant's grand opening. ULM graduate Joey Trappey (green shirt) and Bart Babineaux (holding the scissors) celebrate the grand opening of the Fieldhouse Bar & Grill, located in Warhawk Plaza, 1510 Sterlington Road, Monroe. The co-owners are joined by former Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco (red jacket), Bart's aunt. ULM President James Cofer (back) and Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo (left) also join in the celebration.

Trappey, a former ULM football player, earned a marketing degree in 2005 and a master's in education in 2007 at ULM. His football jersey hangs in the restaurant, which he recently opened with his best friend Bart Babineaux.

"We've always talked about doing this. This has always been our dream. And, it's a place for the ULM Warhawks," Trappey said.
