Monroe Symphony features ULM faculty
on Feb. 12
Vangelisti
The Monroe Symphony Orchestra concert at 7 p.m., Feb. 12, features the talents of the ULM Division of Music's own versatile soprano, Claire Vangelisti.
The program is titled "Enchanted Evening," and will include two challenging 20th-century works for voice and orchestra. It will be held in the Ouachita Parish High School Auditorium.
In addition, many look forward to performances by the Lunte/Seiler Duo, a long-standing collaboration between Division of Music faculty Dr. Sandra Lunte, flute, and Dr. Richard Seiler, piano.

The duo will perform at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 15, in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall the "Undine" Sonata by German composer Carl Reinecke (1824-1910), another sonata by Czech composer Bohuslav Martinu (1890-1959), and the Opus di Jazz Sonata (1997) by Mike Mower.
The duo has performed together since 1997 and has recently commissioned a major sonata by composer Eric Ewazen, to be received by the duo this summer.
