The School of Visual and Performing Arts Presents Artistic Events

The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s School of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) has plenty to offer the cultural enthusiast this semester.

On Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Spyker Theatre, ULM TheatreWorks will present Neil Simon's “The Good Doctor,” a comedy based upon the short plays of Anton Chekhov.

This is a free event and there are no reservations needed. Donations will be accepted in lieu of payment for Habitat for Humanity.

On Tues., Jan. 31, Deborah McCLung-Guillory, pianist, and Verena Riley, cellist, will present a recital as part of the VAPA Concert Series. The recital will include a wide range of musical styles - from Chopin to Ragtime. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Biedenharn Recital Hall.

Tickets are $7 for the general public. ULM students, faculty and staff will attend free of charge with I.D.

Many other activities will follow throughout the semester.
