ULM continues its proactive student approach with the Non-Traditional Student Organization's monthly meeting Thursday, Jan. 25 from 4 5 p.m. in the Student Union Building. The organization focuses on issues facing non-traditional students on a daily basis, changes needed on campus to benefit the non-trads and on possible social events. A non-traditional student is defined as having one or more of the following characteristics:
NTSO currently has 28 members and is accepting applications for the Spring 2007 semester. Membership is required to attend NTSO meetings. Annual membership dues of $10 are due upon joining. Non-traditional students are automatically eligible to participate in the National Non-Trad Student Week and qualify for the Non-Trad Student of the Month Award, as well as participate in the Commuter and Non-Traditional Student Affairs events. Students interested in participating are encouraged to contact Debbie Dameron in the Commuter and Non-Traditional Student Affairs Office ddameron@ulm.edu or by calling 318-342-5232.
