Heather Ridpath Pilcher, Library Specialist II at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has written “Beloved Home,” a historical novel published in November 2009.

The story follows the life of a young girl, Jade, who after accidentally bumping her head, travels back in time and meets her great-grandmother, Ashton, as a girl the same age as Jade. The lead character’s time travel adventure was created around actual historical events that happened in Monroe, circa 1905.

The book is available at Amazon.com.

Pilcher earned her master’s degree in Library and Information Science from University of North Texas in Denton in 2008, and a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from ULM in 2002. She has worked at the ULM Library since March 2002.
