Bry Art Gallery shows final BFA exhibition in series

The Bry Art Gallery in the Division of Art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is currently showing a two-person Senior Exhibition of Graphic Design by Valorie Stafford Kissinger and Sculpture by Philip Peyton. This is the final exhibition in a series of six displays featuring the work of 12 bachelor of fine arts recipients.

Kissinger is displaying computer generated graphic design pieces in the form of illustrations, logos, business cards, brochures, and posters. In support of this major statement, the artist is also showing nonobjective figurative lithographic original prints and nonobjective acrylic on paper paintings.

Peyton is exhibiting freestanding nonobjective, still life and figurative sculpture espousing steel, stone, wood, bronze, and found object materials. In support of his major statement, Peyton has added figurative etching and lithographic original prints including hand colored lithographic diptychs and computer generated illustrations.

The Kissinger-Peyton exhibition will be displayed through Aug. 4. The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, and 7:30 - noon on Fridays.
