Dara Engler, Assistant Professor of Art at University of Louisiana at Monroe, participated in the Sixth Annual 2009 Art Melt, a juried competition in Baton Rouge.

Engler received a third place award and The Country Roads Magazine Editor’s Choice Award for her "Untitled Cat Painting." The magazine will feature her artwork in an upcoming issue.

Over 7,000 attended the exhibition, which took place earlier this month at the Brunner Gallery in Baton Rouge’s Shaw Center.
