The University of Louisiana at Monroe continues to offer convenient, flexible, affordable, accelerated and accredited access to a college degree through ULM's Gateway to OnLine Degrees Program, also known as the GOLD Program.ULM’s long-standing, nationally recognized and nationally accredited Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree is now being offered on a fully online platform. This is the only degree of its kind being offered fully online in the state and surrounding region. Graduates will earn certification in elementary education grades 1-5.
“Few nationally accredited elementary education undergraduate online programs exist nationwide, so we are truly excited to be able to offer this opportunity at our university,” says Robyn Jordan, coordinator for accelerated learning at ULM. "This unique program will positively impact elementary students through the state and beyond by providing teachers qualified to meet the needs of all students in their classrooms,” according to Dr. Dorothy Schween, department head of curriculum and instruction.
