The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will hold a free workshop on sales and use tax, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, in the Administration Building, room 2-105.

The workshop is designed to focus on the key definitions of the sales tax law, including sales tax and use tax.

Other topics on the workshop agenda include an overview of the exemptions and exclusions pertaining to both state and local taxes, how to complete a tax return and a brief description of the Use Tax Commission.
