On Saturday, March 25, the University of Louisiana at Monroe School of Nursing, in association with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, will welcome best-selling author Joan Borysenko, Ph.D.
She will speak on the connection between the mind, the body and the spirit. The event will begin at 9 a.m. in Brown Auditorium.
Borysenko is a Harvard School of Medicine graduate, a renowned researcher and a speaker on the mind’s power to heal.
Borysenko has written 11 books on integrative medicine, psychology, spirituality and women’s studies. Her works include The New York Times best-seller, Minding the Body, Mending the Mind and Inner Peace for Busy People. Her column “Staying Centered” appears monthly in Prevention Magazine.
