The Department of Communicative Disorders (CODI) at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is sponsoring the 18th Annual CODI Spring Conference Friday, March 10. The event will begin at 7:15 a.m. with breakfast and registration at the Monroe Scottish Rite Temple on University Avenue.
The presentation by featured speakers Daymon Gilbert, M.Ed., CCC-SLP and Kathy Swiney, M.A., CCC-SLP of Kingwood, TX will begin at 8:15 a.m. in Brown Auditorium. Their topic“The Wizard of /r/ (and now /s/)”may be of interest to speech-language pathologists working with children who have articulation disorders.
Following lunch at Scottish Rite, the conference will continue. It is expected to end at 3:30 p.m. The conference is offered in conjunction with the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Monroe Scottish Rite Bodies, and participants are eligible for .5 CEUs (Continuing Education Units).
