Rachel Corbit of Delhi Charter School and Davis Walker of Prairie View Academy were the top senior and junior winners at the Region 3 Science and Engineering Fair held in Fant-Ewing Coliseum March 27 at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Corbit received the Senior Sweepstakes Award, the Senior Grand Prize Award in Biological Sciences, the United States Navy Senior Biological Award and the ULM Chapter of Sigma Xi Senior Award.

Walker received the Junior Sweepstakes Award, the Junior Grand Prize Award in Physical Sciences, the United States Navy Junior Physical Sciences Award and the ULM Chapter of Sigma Xi Junior Award.

First, second and third place winners in all categories are eligible for the state science fair scheduled to be held in April in Baton Rouge. Region 3 comprises Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas and West Carroll Parishes.

Not all places were awarded in each discipline.
