Amy Weems, ULM doctoral of education student, assisted by Keene, presented a session Feb. 15, titled, “Let Go of the Paper! Using Technology to Improve How Your Organization Works.” The session offered participants suggestions on tapping into free technology solutions to minimize paperwork and improve campus communication, while also streamlining daily operations.

NACA hosted the national convention Feb. 13-17. The four-day event provides networking opportunities with other professionals, students and associate members and attracts more than 2,000 delegates from nearly 450 member schools each year.

During the convention, educational programs focus on topics such as professional and student leadership development, programming, multicultural education, campus organization dynamics and advising, and identification of current trends in the field of campus activities, according to the NACA web site.

“We usually find ideas for our performances for the upcoming year and attend several educational sessions throughout the convention,” said Coordinator of Student Activities Nathan Hall.

NACA advances campus activities in higher education through a business and learning partnership and has more than 1,000 college and university members and close to 650 associates representing artists, lecturers and performers.
