Several women serving on the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s PanHellenic Council were recognized for excellence in community service at the Southeastern PanHellenic Conference held March 20 in Atlanta.
SEPC is the regional leadership conference for council officers held each year. The conference brings together Southeast PanHellenic Councils to discuss and learn better ways to govern and recruit on campus.
ULM was one of several schools recognized by SEPC for their excellence in community service. ULM PanHellenic Council sponsored hands-on community service events, fundraising events and philanthropic programming projects, according to Coordinator of Greek Life Keith Hembree. The Office of Greek Life is charged with advising the 16 nationally recognized fraternities and sororities at ULM, said Hembree. These Greeks are founded on principles of scholarship, leadership, community service and development of lifelong friendships. They still practice these fundamental principles in their pursuit of excellence. For more information or membership questions, email the ULM Office of Greek Life at greeks@ulm.edu.
