Katherine Putnam, Miss Louisiana 2009 and Miss America third runner-up, will make an appearance at the fifth annual Wine Over Water event, held from 7 to 10 p.m., Thursday, April 8, at the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus on the bridge overlooking Bayou DeSiard.

Wine Over Water is an opportunity to support ULM’s scholarship funding. Proceeds go to “The Spirit of The Warhawk Scholarship.” Tickets are $50 and may be purchased at the ULM Alumni Center. Attire is dressy casual.

Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster will provide entertainment while dozens of local restaurants provide hors d’oeuvres for sampling. The ever-popular party barge cruises on the bayou, courtesy of Letsinger Marine, will also be a featured part of the event.
