ULM's Pi Sigma Epsilon and Monroe Symphony announce winners of coloring contest
ULM's Pi Sigma Epsilom, in partnership with the Monroe Symphony, recently announced the winners of the Monroe Symphony Coloring Contest.
Jouri Williams, a fourth grade student at Clark Elementary (teacher: Samantha Hano), won first place. Jouri wins free admission for his whole school to the Monroe Symphony Orchestra concert "Pines and a Premiere," on Saturday, March 24, at 7 p.m. at the Monroe Civic Center's L. Jack Howard Theater.

The prize includes students, parents, family, faculty, and staff, up to 1,500 admissions.
Second place went to Tyrai Washington, a first grader at Jones Elementary (teacher: Nettles).
Cortavious Carter, a sixth grader at Faulk Elementary, won third place.
Honorable mentions went to: Dothiava Brown, a fifth grader at Faulk Elementary; Brook Lyn Davis, a first grader at Grace Elementary; Allicia Williams, a third grader at Clark Elementary; and Zyla Dickens, a kindergartener at Berg Jones Elementary.
The concert will feature four pieces of music: "Festive Overture" by Shostakovic; "Pines of Rome" by Respighi; "Live Oak," by Roger Jones; and "Violin Concerto in A minor" by Glazunov. Jones' "Live Oak" is the premiere presentation of this work.

Pi Sigma Epsilon is a marketing and sales student professional fraternity at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Pi Sigma Epsilon was instrumental in organizing the contests for the Monroe Symphony Orchestra.
