The Sound of Today last performed in Dublin in 2009.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin has invited them to march in the St. Patrick’s Day parade and to give a concert in St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

They will also perform on the steps of City Hall in Limerick, Ireland.

One of the chaperones on the trip will be Dr. Jason Rinehart, assistant professor of Music at ULM.

He said, "We try to take a trip every four years somewhere internationally to give our students that overall experience of culture and music and life outside of Louisiana. We went to Ireland back in 2009, and the students who went are still talking about the trip and how much fun they had."
