Pi Delta Phi French Honor Society
inducts ULM students

Several University of Louisiana at Monroe students were inducted into Pi Delta Phi French Honor Society at the University House Thursday, May 1.

Philip Greenwood of Ruston, Ecaterina Iavorschi of Moldova, Kateryna Kamchatna of Ukraine, Elizabeth Lusk of Monroe, and Aimee Soileaux of Rayne each received the honor.

The ceremony program included a performance by Greenwood of Claude Debussy's solo work for flute, "Syrinx." Kamchatna, Ailie Dochnal, Iavorschi, and Bernadette Patin presented readings taken from around the Francophone world.

ULM professors also participated. Guest speaker Dr. Carlos Fandal gave a keynote address, and Dr. Chris Michaelides and Dr. Fredrick Adams presided at the catered event.
