University of Louisiana at Monroe President James E. Cofer and State Senator Robert “Bob” Kostelka, (R-Monroe) joined AT&T representatives in unveiling the cover of the new AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory on Friday, May 7, featuring ULM’s signature bronze Warhawk sculpture.
The sculpture, with its magnificent 17-foot wingspan, is perched near the university's library. Premier animal sculptor Sandy Scott created the 2,000-pound Warhawk.
ULM, with an enrollment of more than 9,000 students, offers both traditional and innovative graduate and undergraduate programs in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education and Human Development, Health Sciences, and Louisiana's only state-supported College of Pharmacy. As new books are delivered, Monroe-area businesses and residents are encouraged to recycle their outdated directories. AT&T Real Yellow Pages directories are recyclable, and the paper used to print the directories contains recycled materials. Residents and businesses can call the AT&T Real Yellow Pages Project ReDirectory help line, listed on the directory cover, at 800-953-4400 for directory recycling information in this community.
