Debra Wisenor, ULM interim department head and assistant professor of clinical laboratory sciences, was named the 2006 Educator of the Year by the Louisiana Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.

She also received the 2006 Omicron Sigma Region VII President’s Award for Outstanding Service by the Louisiana Society for Clinical Laboratory Science on the same date.As another honor, the ULM Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society selected Wisenor to receive the 2006 Favorite Professor Award Aug. 31. She currently serves as president of the Louisiana Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.
