The ULM chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society at universities whose programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business-International, was named a premier chapter.

As a premier chapter, Beta Gamma Sigma will provide a $500 matching scholarship to a member of the organization during the academic year.

According to the notifying letter, ULM consistently demonstrates that, "academic excellence is valued and the faculty officers of the chapter work diligently to enhance Beta Gamma Sigma's stature on campus."

The Eta Sigma Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honors organization for financial information professionals, was recently recognized as a superior chapter. Recognition as a superior chapter indicates the membership has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism and leadership.

College of Business Dean Ron Berry commended Patti Roshto, faculty advisor to Beta Alpha Psi and secretary to Beta Gamma Sigma, for her outstanding leadership and invaluable service to both organizations.
