Putnam said she was thrilled to win the Miss Shreveport title, viewing the area as her second home. “For the past four months I worked extremely hard to prepare for the competition, and the blood, sweat and tears definitely paid off! I am blessed to have the support from my family and loved ones, as well as the support from my hometown and the University of Louisiana Monroe. I look forward to representing my family, friends, my university, and the city of Shreveport in the Miss Louisiana Pageant in June.”
